If you haven’t read the stories at 00.34+OPS2 in the user manual, do that now.

It has some examples of businesses with different products and services that we’ve classified as either β€˜tangible’ or β€˜intangible’. Plus a nice quadrant diagram.

This might sound unnecessary. But it’s helped us see how we can match different types of businesses to different usage patterns for the categories in 20-29 and 30-39.

Trying to design a system that can accommodate all small businesses is challenging. So we looked for patterns.

We observed that not every business will use each category or ID in the same way, or at all. And that’s okay. As long as there’s space reserved.

This way we can all still share the same system and numbers. Making it easier to discuss specific topics in the community and elsewhere.

Some of us will just use some parts more than others.
